Spring Clean Up

The City of Emerado will conduct its Annual Spring Clean Up beginning Friday, May 17th until Sunday May 19th. To facilitate this, 3 large dumpsters will be placed behind City Hall the morning of the 17th, two of which can be used for residential refuse, and one for brush, limbs and other yard waste! This service is for City Residents ONLY!
We kindly ask that when disposing of the waste, you ensure you are using the proper dumpsters, as they will be marked, and to make sure that all the items you are discarding make it INTO the dumpster(s), which are monitored via surveillance camera.
Please do not leave items on the ground outside the dumpsters!
We would like to continue to make this service available to you each year but will have to discontinue the service if the rules are not followed.
Per Waste Management, the following items are NOT permitted to be discarded in these dumpsters, and must be hauled to the Grand Forks Landfill on your own:
- Aerosol cans
- All liquids
- Animals
- Antifreeze
- Appliances
- Asbestos
- Barrels
- Batteries
- Chemical products
- Computers
- Contaminated oils
- Dirt/Soil
- Fluorescent tubes
- Hazardous waste
- Herbicides and pesticides
- Industrial waste
- Lead-based paints
- Hydraulic oil
- Medical waste
- Microwaves
- Monitors
- Motor oil
- Oil filters
- Other flammable liquids
- Liquid Paints
- Propane tanks
- Radioactives
- Railroad ties
- Solvents
- Televisions
- Tires
- Transmission oils
